Inter app audio plays even for other tracks

Postby Dinovo » Sat Dec 24, 2016 7:55 am

Hi,
I am running the latest iOS version (2.6.4) on an iPad 3.
I create a new midi track and select 'sunrizer' as the instrument. I record some notes using the Music Studio keyboard (and the Sunrizer preset sound).
I then create a new midi track and select a 'local' preset (non inter app). When playing the Music Studio keyboard, I now hear both the sound I selected and the Sunrizer preset being triggered. I can avoid this problem by closing Sunriser, but then I won't hear it when playing all tracks.

How can I solve this?

Thanks,
Roy

BTW,

This still happens if I mute the Sunrizer track and deselect 'MIDI out for muted tracks' in settings.

Update - of the few apps I tried, this only seems to happen with Sunrizer.

Still - would be nice to get to the bottom of this.

Thanks again,

That's probably because Sunrizer receives Music Studio's notes over CoreMIDI (or VirtualMIDI), regardless if it's connected via IAA (Inter-App Audio) or not. There are 2 ways to turn that off:

By the way, 2.6.4 is not the newest version, please update to Music Studio 2.7.1, we made a few IAA tweaks in the 2.7 update.

Have you set sunrizer to listen only a specific channel, by default it works in OMNI mode, so it listens to all sources and channels.
