Roland A800 Pro

hi all,

i have the Roland A800 Pro midi controller keyboard and the ios app appears not detecting the keyboard.

i am connecting through the lightning usb camera connection kit and have the iPad air 2. is there a setting i should be doing?

Under the "Setup" tab, go to the MIDI options. What does the black bar say? If it says something other than "No MIDI Hardware Connected", then Music Studio is definitely recognizing it. If it does say that there isn't a connection, you might have a faulty USB-to-Lightning dongle.

Do other apps work with the A800 Pro?
I looked it up and Roland doesn’t seem to specify that it’s iOS (“CoreMIDI”) compatible.

Music Studio automatically connects to all CoreMIDI devices. You can check if Music Studio sees your keyboard by tapping the black text box in the upper right of the MIDI setup screen:

Also make sure that MIDI IN is enabled, the port is set to “all” and the channel to 1 in this window:
