what version of I phone?

Hi, I am going to but a cheep second hand iphone specifically to use music studio and use as a sequencer connected to a korg kross keyboard.
What is the minimum spec phone I need? Will an I phone 3 work?

Music Studio needs ios7 so earliest iphone that would work would be iphone 4

Many thanks, I guess my follow up question is has anyone used an iphone 4 with music studio connected to the usb midi port on an electronic keyboard?
