Can you plug in to record guitar???

Postby triantobebrian » Fri Jul 30, 2010 12:49 pm

Hi all.
Sorry if this is a niave question - only looking briefly so the answer may be obvious.
I'm a guitarist and see the effects there; but do you have to record via the keyboard; or can I plug in via my irig cable (amplitude let's you play guitar in your iPhone with amp and effects etc).

If I can do this; I would buy the full version tonight straight away. Brilliant.
Otherwise there's not really much point in buying the app or even having guitar effects at all.

Keen to try this out if this is all a goer......!!!!!

Thanks

Audio recording is not possible yet, see the vocal recording topic http://www.xewton.com/musicstudio/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19.

Later this year when it's implemented, you'll be able to record the mic input on a track and lay effects on it. However, Music Studio won't be a live guitar effect rack, it's meant for composing, editing and recording songs.

How is the irig? I'm thinking of getting one. The effects all look really nice, but how is the sound quality?
