Reversing sound effects

Postby Kolbaska » Sun Oct 25, 2015 6:59 pm

Hey Alex,

I am not familiar with how do sound effects work on asm level so I am unable to get the answer by myself. Hence here is the situation:
Imagine we got some .wav file as a track (or why not internal instrument?) that we assume has some effects applied. Now, we enable and change different sound effects and click "Apply" and now we can disable effects to hear how particular track sounded in a supposed original way. Based on what do I know, sound effects are cryptography-like, so it might be possible to "decrypt". Looking for your answer :)

Afaik that's impossible, I don't know of any app or algorithm that could achieve this. Noise reduction is doable, but removing effects from an existing audio file is not.
