Which iPhone model and iOS version do you have?

Try steps 1 & 2 before recording: http://www.xewton.com/musicstudio/doc/?id=12#Four_steps_to_resolve_most_issues

I can't reproduce the issue on iPhone 5S and 6S. I recorded the metronome (from the internal speaker with the internal mic) and it's in sync with the metronome during playback. Sometimes there's an offset, then I move the audio region in the bar editor

or cut the beginning of the audio file in the wave editor (http://www.xewton.com/musicstudio/doc/?id=13#Wave_editor) until it's perfectly synced.
