High notes sound grainy

Postby Blueskies » Sun Aug 27, 2017 2:11 pm

Hello!
I noticed that the sound is grainy in certain high notes and I round up needing to lower the volume to 25 and bellow for some instruments regardless of if I use my Android tablet speakers or my Bluetooth high quality speakers... yet the sound is really not that loud. Can it be related to the audio card of my tablet? Any suggestions would help.
Thanks for your time

With which instrument does this issue occur? I can think of 3 possible causes:
1. The connected headphones or speakers (probably not in case of your high quality BT speakers)
2. The DAC (digital analog converter) of the tablet
3. Some of Music Studio's instruments have their last sample a few octaves below the highest key. Playing the upper octaves plays this sample heavily pitched, which can lead to distortions or grainy sound.

Hello! The strings legato. Perhaps my tablet is too slow... It's a Nexus 7 first generation.

The strings legato.

I attached the C7 sample of the SSO Strings Legato, it's the highest sample. Does this sound grainy to you already? It gets a bit more grainy if it's pitched up to C8.

Perhaps my tablet is too slow... It's a Nexus 7 first generation.

No, this is unrelated to CPU power.
