Record to Macbook from MusicStudio

I have been googling this but so far have no answers, probably searching the wrong phrasing.
What I want to know is. Can i record a melody from the Music Studio app into my Macbook?
In another words use my iPad as a midi controller. Thanks
If it is possible what do I need and how do I set it up?

Yes it’s possible

The how you do it is partly dependant on the age of your devices.

Or there various hardware midi interfaces like line6 midimobilizer ii or ik multimedia

Wow. I do have IOS 11 on my iPad midi but after watching that I think for now I'll just stick to saving midi files out of Music Studio and importing into Logic 9 if I need a controller I'll plug in my Aki LP25.
