The end of Music Studio?

I just read that Steinberg have bought Xewton. Does this mean the end of the road for Music Studio?

We're pleased to inform you about the acquisition of the intellectual property of Austria-based app company Xewton. By taking advantage of these assets we will now be able to quickly move forward with Cubasis and, as Captain Kirk would say, "boldly go where no man has gone before" or should news-style lingo prevail, strengthen its already proven foundation while ensuring the competitiveness in a fast-paced industry.

Either way congratulations though I would prefer MS to keep going.

SHIT! I still use Music Studio for sketching songs and such. Please DON'T discontinue Music Studio.

There are absolutely no plans to discontinue the Music Studio app.
Instead the opposite is the case, and we will release a maintenance app update very soon.
Alongside, there are long-term plans to further develop the app.

WOOHOOOO!!! Best news in ages. Just be sure not to change up the GUI/workflow/sounds we got (more sounds via IAP would be a great call). Files support would be welcome though.

So, any new features/sounds in the maintenance update?

What ever happen to grid changes and other updates. Is it time to go to Beatmaker?
