Does anybody know how to convert an .xms midi file to an Ableton midi or visa versa? I know independent wave file is the normal method but I need more instrument diversity.

On the project tab

Select the xms song

Press export button

Select midi

The file list will update with a new file with midi in front of it

Select that

Press share

Then send it to yourself by email or add it to your Dropbox etc.


I don't use Ableton so can't guarantee it will work but it should do


For vice versa
Email yourself an exported midi file (or drop box etc)
Click on the file and "open in" music studio
