Re: Music Studio 2.5.2 released
Known issues:
- Long delay when opening large files with other apps (iOS 8 to 8.2 only)
Issue: Select a large (>10mb) file, tap Share, select "Open with app". It takes up to a few minutes until the app selection menu appears, sometimes Music Studio even quits because it runs out of memory.
Cause: This is a known bug in iOS 8 that affects all apps, it works fine with iOS 7.
Update: Apple fixed this in iOS 8.3 - Audio tracks send C2 over MIDI output
Issue: Playback of an audio track sends the note C2 over MIDI output for every audio region.
Workaround: Don't set any receiving MIDI app or device for the channel of the audio track. Set MIDI output channel to "tracks" in Music Studio.
This bug will be fixed in version 2.6. - Emailing a zip file doesn't work
Issue: Select a project that contains audio tracks, tap Share, select Email and enable "Include audio files (zip)". The email should contain a zip file, but instead it only contains the xms file.
Workaround 1: Use Dropbox instead of email. Emailing large wav files is not a good idea because of the email size limit of most providers. The "Include audio files (zip)" option works if Dropbox is selected.
Workaround 2: In addition to emailing the xms file, switch to the Audio folder, select an audio file that is being used in the project, tap Share and Email. Repeat this for each audio file that the project uses. The file names are written on the audio tracks in the Tracks screen.
This bug will be fixed in version 2.6. - Inter-App Audio output doesn't work
Issue: Recording Music Studio's audio output in an Inter-App Audio host app doesn't work.
This bug will be fixed in version 2.6.
