Velocity Layering or Round robins in Samples
Hello Alex, I was curious if sampled instruments could be capable of round robins, or multiple wav files for different velocities. I noticed that velocity layers was a request in a thread back in 2011. However, you mentioned that it would take up too much file space. Is it possible now in 2014 that round robins or velocity layers in custom instruments could be implemented?

It would be possible now that the new devices have enough (and fast) RAM. Unfortunately we don't have velocity (nor round robin) samples of the existing instruments, but we could enable it for user instruments and implement it for new ones. I put "Velocity samples" on the list:

Hi will this mean that round robins will not be added?
I think they are one of the most important capability of a custom instrument as to avoid the machine gun sounds especially on percussion samples…
Please let me know

Well, this is quite an old thread you've resurrected
Today's devices, especially iPad Pro, have enough RAM and CPU power to handle round-robin samples, so I've changed the entry to "Velocity and round robin samples": viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2409&p=6346#p6346
